Multi-Specialty Medical Group, Controller

Wendie is a controller for a local multi-special medical group and a longtime resident of Kitsap County. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Oregon State University and a Masters Certificate in Legal Studies from the University of San Diego. Wendie is a certified public accountant with a background in public accounting. She worked for a large national firm where she practiced in healthcare assurance.

Wendie has a solid commitment to local outreach and believes in supporting local community programs. She is a founding member of the Willow Charitable Foundation, an organization helping homeless causes locally and across the nation, making significant gifts to support homeless teens and families. Her founding of the organization was inspired by the book "Breakfast at Sally's" by Bremerton author Richard LeMieux.

Wendie is a member and board member of Kitsap Credit Union. She has an intrinsic connection to the philosophy of a not-for-profit financial cooperative working in partnership with its members towards their financial goals and serving the local community - this understanding fuels her joy for speaking at local high schools about financial literacy.

Wendie's served on many nonprofit boards, most recently completing a term with Leadership Kitsap, and looks forward to furthering her community service on the Kitsap Regional Library Foundation Board. She shares, "Our libraries serve a vital role in our community, fostering learning and promoting literacy. It seems the only public place left where loitering is encouraged is the library."

Wendie looks forward to participating in the strategic direction of a modern-day Kitsap Library system.
