The Friends of Silverdale Library have made a generous gift of $100,000 to the Community Campaign for a New Library in Silverdale! But here's the kicker; they've challenged us as a community to match it! We love a friendly competition and know we can meet this goal with a little help from our friends.
We have created an easy, safe way for you to join us virtually by way of a DIY Fundraiser. Let's get creative. Let's get excited. Let's get competitive!

One of our current fundraisers is hosting a "Stay Home and Read a Book Ball." Another is raising funds in support of their fitness goal of completing the Olympic Discovery Marathon. We've had young supporters donate their birthday money. And a few of our fellow library lovers have used their birthdays as fundraisers online, asking for donations in lieu of gifts. No gift or goal is too small.
This new Library will undoubtedly be a cornerstone of greater Kitsap County, with its impact reaching far beyond Silverdale. Community meeting rooms, dedicated spaces for children, teens and tweens, increased access to computers, study rooms and much more; this will be a place for ALL. As Library Director Jill Jean said, “We know that this community has been waiting for a new library for generations. This will set a new standard in Kitsap County for what a library can be.”
