Philanthropy plays a critical role in expanding what is possible. Through charitable support, Kitsap Regional Library can grow programs, strengthen services, respond to emerging community needs, and create meaningful experiences for people of all ages.

Last year, 1,033 donors contributed more than $688,000 to support Kitsap Regional Library, including 493 first-time donors. This extraordinary generosity reflects a community deeply invested in its Library and in one another.

That generosity matters. Kitsap residents visited their libraries more than 915,000 times across nine locations. More than 84,000 community members participated in Library programs, and cardholders borrowed more than 2.6 million items. The mobile services team made more than 2,500 home visits, while Library staff hosted more than 3,100 classes and events that enriched, educated, and connected our community.

These numbers tell a powerful story. When community generosity comes together, the impact is big. Tax funding provides essential support for Library services, and charitable gifts help amplify that work, making more possible for people across Kitsap County.
